    Carolina Kitchen began competing in BBQ competitions through out Arizona, California, and Nevada in 2003. The products being judged were BBQ Chicken, Chicken Wings, Ribs, Brisket and Pulled Pork. In 2003 through 2009, they took 1st place at the Reno, Nevada Chicken Wing Competition. In 2012 they took 1st place Ribs at the Carson Station Rib Rumble, in 2013 they took 1st place and People’s Choice.     Carolina Kitchen was founded in 2002 by Clay and Jo Cobb.  The dream all began when a charming Georgia boy married a sweet Nevada ranch girl.  He always complained about her cooking and wanted real southern food, like he had growing up as a child.  They had two children, and out of self-defense, the kids enrolled in Culinary Arts during high school.  Both Clay and his sister Rachel later went to Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the United States.  Yes, Jo still can’t cook, but now she doesn't have to..
